We set of to get a lunch with barbequed meat and potatosallad we talk about if we are going back to the same spot again as I did feel that today there was a chance to get another big pike. we did catch some smaller fish, and suddenly Kristoffer screams (most of happiness) that he had fish. Right away he turns to me and say: I think this is a big fish, it´s heavy! He fight the fish for ten minutes and haven´t been able to get it to the surface yet. Now we realise that this can be a "dreamcatch" pike. As it comes to the surface all our guesses comes true. Before us a huge pike show its silhouette and now it´s fight for real. Kristoffer drills the fish for almost 25 minutes before we can lift it in to the boat in the landing net. The happiness are total in the boat. This was a truly monsterpike on 13.5 kilo and unbelievable 131 cm in length.
30 minutes later I catch another pike on 6 kg but this one could not at all make me as happy as the large that Kristoffer had caught. In total we did catch 12 pikes over 3 kilos this day and everyone in an ares of 100x100 meters. And this is just one of my favorit spots on the river.
