In many lakes around Stugun there is a big chance to catch trout. In many years the fishing association i Stugun has put out cultivated trout in a row lakes. This to secure that the species will survive in our fauna. Still there are a chance to catch wild trout to. Now and then there are reported fish over 5 kg. In the smaller creeks there also are a chance to flyfish for trout. Most of the troutfishing we let Ammeråns Fishing help us with but we can also make a day tours to one of the nearby lakes.
Artic Char - Salvelinus Alpinus
We can also fish for Artic Char in some lakes around Stugun. Just as the trout the fishing association put out cultivatet fish once a year. The best time to fish for the Artich Char is in the wintertime. For fishing for Trout and Artic Char in wintertime please contact us for price and accomodation as this is off season for our guides.
Grayling - Thymallus Thymallus
In the river and the connecting creeks there are fine Grayling to catch. This is a really good fish for food. Even here we cooperate with Ammeråns Fishing as the grayling are easier to get there. Ammerån is a larger creek and hold more fish.
Whitefish - Coregonus lavaretus
Just as the grayling this also is a appreciated fish to eat, both smoked and grilled. The whitefish are very popular for both flyfisher and winterfishers but tha larger fish can also be cought on spinfishing. This type of fishing is not something active guide on as the best season is in the wintertime and late fall.
