SDOOK- Pike fishing Xtravagance.

In mid north Sweden there is a village called Stugun. 50 km from Östersund / Åre airport the river Indalsälven flow slowly. Indalsälven is one of Sweden’s longest rivers with a total length of 430 kilometers. A total of 26 hydropower plants are placed along its course.In the “ponds” between the power stations the Northern Pike ( Esox Lucius) are now growing in both huge numbers and sizes. We are now proud to arrenge guided fishing in one of these gigant ponds.  Not only pike are represented in those waters! There are also big perch, trout, whitefish and grayling to catch. The part of the river we guide on are about 15 km long and it’s from 100- 6-700 meters wide.

The types of fishing we assist with are all sorts of technics as spin, trolling, flyfishing( on pike this is a thrill), jerkbait and vertical Jigging. We are fishing from boat and there are possible to rent a smaller boat to go out on your own to. Every year there are at least 3-4 ton of pike cathed. But there are also a lot of trout , grayling, whitefish and perch catched. We on Sdook outdoor consulting offering fishing for all those fishes but have the norther pike as favorite. We cooperate with with the owner of Swedparadise.se for accommodation and here you also can eat. If you rather like to stay outdoors in the summer time we can provide tents for you. Sleeping bags are to bring by you self.

We can also assist you with transfer from the airport to the village. When we arrive you can make you self at home on the hotel while we prepare for the fishing.

If you don’t want to fish in the river we can take you out hiking to a lot of small forest lakes, streams also. In them cases we have to rent boats as there are no good roads to take the bigger boats. Those boats are a mix of canoe and boat and are made for 1-2 persons.

The fishing can be done almost all year but from late October the days are getting colder and the pike gets harder to fish but trout and whitefish are still to get.
Then December to February the weather are to cold for fishing. In March the ice fishing for all spices are good and perch and pike fishing on the ice are really nice in the spring sun.

We can also provide fishing for Arctic Char (Salmo Salvelinus) in a few lakes around Stugun. Those are best to fish in the winter but are fishable during summer to.
